That infernally catchy Puerto Rico song that has become a viral sensation rivaling circa-2016 “Baby Shark” now has an official music video. And it was shot on the Isla del Encanto itself.
The island’s tourism organization, Discover Puerto Rico, partnered with the song’s creator, Bill Stiteler (who posts content online as Saxboy Billy), to make the clip, which shows Stiteler singing, dancing, and otherwise cavorting in locales across Puerto Rico.
So it’s basically a tourism commercial, in other words.
Does that compromise the work’s artistic integrity? Given that Stiteler engineered the song by feeding lyrics into an AI-powered music generator, we’d say . . . what artistic integrity?
In any case, Puerto Rico looks undeniably inviting in the video, which we present to you now without further ado, via Euronews:

The short clip is captioned with the song’s lyrics, over which a Puerto Rican coquí frog hops, sing-along style.
In addition to images of Stiteler posing among the turrets of the Spanish colonial fortress El Morro, acquiring a piragua (the island’s answer to a snow cone), and navigating recreational watercraft, the video provides glimpses of the sights and experiences name-checked in the tune.
We see the Barack Obama statue near the capitol building in San Juan. We see Stiteler with Malta and mofongo—a nonalcoholic malt drink and garlicky mashed plantains dish, respectively. And, yes, we get a look at the slot machines at the bus station in Caguas.
