Researchers at Sysdig have linked a second attack on the same Langflow server to JADEPUFFER, the AI-agent-driven operator it first documented earlier this month. The same operator has now been spotted deploying ENCFORGE, a new compiled Go ransomware designed to encrypt model weights, vector indexes, training datasets, and other AI infrastructure files across the host filesystem. The entry point did not change. Langflow versions before 1.3.0 expose the /api/v1/validate/code endpoint without authentication, allowing any remote attacker to execute arbitrary Python on the server. The flaw, CVE-2025-3248, carries a CVSS score of 9.8 and has been in CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities…

Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is designing a new server chip to help its in-house Gemini models operate more efficiently. The new chip, internally dubbed “Frozen v2,” is slated to be released sometime in 2028, The Information reported, citing anonymous sources. According to the report, the chip could be between six and 10 times more efficient than Google’s existing AI chips, measured by the number of tokens generated per unit of power. In a response to TechCrunch, the company didn’t directly confirm the report. It didn’t deny it either. “Our teams are constantly researching and experimenting with new innovations to deliver…

Market returns continued to be dominated by AI-related technology stocks as the S&P 500 gained 15.2%. Our equity funds delivered positive returns but trailed the index, not fully participating in the narrow, AI-driven market leadership (see our Quarterly Commentaries for fund-specific information). The brightest stars of the “AI trade” were computer chips, both processing and memory. The SOX Semiconductor Index rose 88% in the quarter and 101% in the first half.…

After joining Amazon as a product leader in 2022, I saw a series of layoffs and return-to-office mandates over the following three years that made any semblance of presence in home life impossible. The tech industry layoffs disproportionately impacted women, and the workers that remained struggled in a workplace with lowered morale and increased expectations.  Then I stumbled upon the entrepreneurship through acquisition space. The ETA premise is simple: Rather than founding a company from scratch or climbing someone else’s ladder, you buy an existing, profitable business. {“blockType”:”mv-promo-block”,”data”:{“imageDesktopUrl”:”https:\/\/images.fastcompany.com\/image\/upload\/f_webp,q_auto,c_fit\/wp-cms-2\/2026\/07\/p-1-91570281-these-women-moms-ditched-corporate-life-to-buy-their-own-businesses.jpg”,”imageMobileUrl”:”https:\/\/images.fastcompany.com\/image\/upload\/f_webp,q_auto,c_fit\/wp-cms-2\/2026\/07\/p-1-91570281-these-women-moms-ditched-corporate-life-to-buy-their-own-businesses.jpg”,”eyebrow”:””,”headline”:”These moms ditched corporate America to buy their own businesses”,”dek”:””,”subhed”:””,”description”:””,”ctaText”:”Read More”,”ctaUrl”:”https:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/91570281\/these-moms-ditched-corporate-life-to-buy-their-own-businesses”,”theme”:{“bg”:”#2b2d30″,”text”:”#ffffff”,”eyebrow”:”#9aa2aa”,”subhed”:”#ffffff”,”buttonBg”:”#3b3f46″,”buttonHoverBg”:”#3b3f46″,”buttonText”:”#ffffff”},”imageDesktopId”:91570378,”imageMobileId”:91570378,”shareable”:false,”slug”:””,”wpCssClasses”:””}} I spent…

Many studies examining the link between sleep deprivation and obesity have focused on severe sleep deprivation, such as restricting participants’ sleep to about four hours a night. These studies suggest that this may lead to increased appetite and overeating, which in turn could contribute to weight gain.Because very few people can endure such severe sleep restrictions for more than a few days, though, the practical utility of this research is limited, and it hasn’t necessarily clarified whether more common and milder types of sleep deprivation, such as getting five to six hours of sleep per night, actually lead to weight…
