    Wet, cloudy, cool and warm conditions are forecast for most parts of the country, but cold in the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Free State, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).

    Gauteng: Cloudy and cool conditions expected throughout the day.

    Pretoria: 8°C — 19°C

    Johannesburg: 7°C — 18°C

    Vereeniging: 6°C — 18°C

    Mpumalanga: Morning fog patches will reduce visibility over the escarpment and western interior areas. Otherwise, partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions with isolated showers and rain developing in the north-eastern parts.

    Expect cloudy skies over the southern parts during the afternoon.

    Western Cape: Cloudy to partly cloudy and cool to cold conditions. Isolated showers and thundershowers over the north-eastern part during early morning, with light rain over the south-western parts in the morning.

    Rain will spread to the south coast and adjacent interior from the afternoon.

    Coastal winds will be moderate to fresh westerly to north-westerly, becoming moderate southerly to south-easterly along the west coast. Strong south-westerly winds are expected along the south coast from the afternoon.

    Eastern half of the Eastern Cape: Cold conditions are expected in places north of the escarpment. Otherwise cloudy and cool to warm with isolated showers and thundershowers, scattered over the western interior.

    Coastal winds will be light northerly during early morning, otherwise moderate to fresh south-westerly.

    Gqeberha: 15°C — 21°C

    Makhanda: 15°C — 22°C

    Cradock: 11°C — 22°C

    Graaff-Reinet: 12°C — 21°C

    KuGompo City (East London): 18°C — 23°C

    KwaZulu-Natal: Morning fog patches over the interior will reduce visibility. Otherwise, partly cloudy and warm conditions, with isolated showers and thundershowers expected in the extreme south-west.

    Coastal winds will be light to moderate northerly to north-easterly, becoming fresh between Mtunzini and Cape St Lucia at times.

    Winds will shift to light to moderate southerly to south-easterly in the extreme south from mid-morning, spreading to Mtunzini by evening.
