Tom Clover’s Invictus Gold is another key contender who chased home Sondad at Epsom 23 days ago and should be fine on this return to firmer ground.
King Of Light has been running to a consistently high level recently which included a success at Haydock and a second-placed finish at Goodwood two starts ago, and Stuart Williams’ gelding now steps back up to six furlongs for the first time since September last year.
Richard Hannon and Sean Levey team up with Fandom who was last seen finishing down the field in the Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot and is another to note.
Coul Angel for Michael Appleby and David Simcock’s Rydale Frosty are others to keep an eye on.
3.22 Ffos Las – Rogue Enforcer and Zighy feature in sprint
A field of five will contest the Diplomat Hotel Handicap over the minimum trip at Ffos Las and Listed winner Rogue Enforcer will look to record a first win for his new connections.
After landing a Listed event in Italy for Laura Vanska, the five-year-old was gelded and then moved to Archie Watson’s yard and looks to bounce back after finishing down the field in the Dash when last seen.
George Boughey saddles 400,000gns purchase Zighy who takes on the boys for the first time here in pursuit of a third win from her last five starts, and Billy Loughnane returning to the saddle is a positive for the three-year-old’s chances.
Gina Mangan’s mount All Ways Glamorous put up an encouraging effort on his reappearance this season when going close in a big-field handicap at Ascot before disappointing when last seen at Windsor in first-time cheekpieces. The headgear comes off today and the five-year-old returns to calmer waters as he seeks a first win for over a year.
Thomas Faulkner’s El Bufalo and Comic Strip for Simon and Ed Crisford make up the field.
8.00 Windsor – A Taste Of Glory and Bella’s Path contest handicap
Eight will contest the Download The Fitzdares App Now Handicap over a mile and a quarter at Windsor where A Taste Of Glory takes a significant drop in class.
Having finished 10th in the Derby when last seen, Andrew Balding’s colt now returns to handicaps with Murphy taking over in the saddle, and receives weight all round.
Top-weight Bella’s Path looks to follow up her comfortable stable debut success last time out and take her record in handicaps to two from two for Charlie Pike.
Moonjid is another seeking successive wins, having scored at Yarmouth 11 days ago for Michael Appleby. The gelding was raised 3lb for that win but Conor Whiteley takes over in the saddle and can claim back 5lb.
Seagolazo, Twisting Physics and Londoner are others to note.
