So much of our lives are now spent online. But it’s the in-person connections that give our lives texture and meaning. That’s the reason we still travel, right? We could just as easily sit in front of a screen gazing at photos, videos, and travelogues about distant destinations, but the truth is, there’s nothing like being there in person.
That truth holds for attending the annual Travel and Adventure Show, a consumer-focused, 2-day roving extravaganza that brings together some of the best minds in travel and allows vacationers to meet real experts in cruising, RV travel, safaris, guided tours, great destinations, and more.
The interactions I have at the Travel and Adventure Show are the reason I’ve been giving keynote speeches, answering questions, and signing books at them for some 20 years now.
In 2026, for the first time ever, the Travel and Adventure Show will be coming to Seattle and South Florida, and I’ll be there!
I’m excited to speak at those new locations, and I’m just as excited to be joined on the Travel Stage by travel luminaries Samantha Brown (host of PBS’ Places to Love), Phil Rosenthal (star of the hilarious travel show Somebody Feed Phil), Rick Steves, CBS News’ travel commentator Peter Greenberg, and Patricia Schultz (author of the bestseller 1,000 Places to See Before You Die.)
And here’s a little secret: Because you found out about it on Frommers.com, you get to attend for free.
Just go to to purchase a ticket and use the code FROMMERSVIP when prompted. (Alas, this only works for advance ticket purchases at the shows I’ll be attending, not on the same day or at the door.)
Won’t you join me at one of the following appearances?
Seattle: January 10–11 at the Seattle Convention Center. I’ll be speaking at 1pm both days.
New York City: January 24 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. I’ll be on stage at 3pm on Saturday only (no Sunday appearance).
Chicago area: Feb 21–22 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. I speak at 3pm on Saturday, and 12:15pm on Sunday.
South Florida: Feb 28–Mar 1 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/ Broward County Convention Center. I speak at 2:30pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday.
Southern California: March 7–8 at the Long Beach Convention Center in the Los Angeles area. I’ll be talking at 3:30pm on Saturday and at 2pm on Sunday.
Denver: Colorado Convention Center of April 11–12. My speaking times have not yet been set.
If for some reason you can’t make it for my presentation at the times above, drop by the bookstore booth. I often hang out there to sign books and meet travelers.
I look forward to chatting soon!
